Preparing for Diverse Classrooms

During mathematics methods courses, I engage preservice teachers in discussions where we examine the role of culture in mathematics classrooms. My preservice teachers also read scholarly articles about a culture that is different from their own and identify culturally-relevant strategies they might use in their future classrooms.
